Windsor Essex offers a number of excellent brick and mortar shelters where women and their children can find refuge from a dangerous domestic situation or homelessness. Due to the unprecedented demand for their services, many shelters have time limitations on shelter stays. In order to maintain as much shelter space as possible for new shelter clients, it is vital that families leaving the shelter system succeed in reestablishing themselves and avoid having to return to a shelter.
This is when Saving Single Mothers is there to help, when the family leaves a shelter facility. We recognize the near endless list of basic necessities and other needs of a family starting over after leaving the shelter system. Food, clothing, furniture, counseling services, employment and family law support are just a few of the assistance programs that we offer to those in need. Our mandate allows for the provision of material needs, services, and financial assistance directly to single mothers and their children so as to maximize the positive impact of our donor funds.
Our support program provides the following goods and services to single mothers and their children to assist them in re-establishing a home.
